Navigating the Future of Tele-Imaging Screening

On the next 7th of May, Professor Carlos Costa will talk about “Navigating the future of teleimaging screening“, a National Medical Imaging Network Installation with AI Tools for Decision Support.

Carlos Costa has nearly 30 years of professional and research experience in medical imaging informatics. He is an Associate Professor at the University of Aveiro, a researcher at the Institute of Electronics and Informatics Engineering of Aveiro, and director of a Computer Science degree. He is the (co-)author of more than 170 publications, with primary research activity in medical imaging informatics, healthcare information systems, security, and machine learning. He is the coordinator of the Dicoogle Open-Source project, an international medical imaging reference. He co-founded BMD-Software, a company focused on bio-medical informatics software, which emerged as a spin-off of the university research group.
